A fun Weekend.

Well maybe I should back up a little to the week. Of course we had speech with Drew and his therapist is very impressed with him, he had some great 3-4 words utterances. HIs best one is "you play with me, please!" and another favorite is "will you help me?" Those are his best of course not crystal clear but they are impressed with that many words. The Dentist
I went to the Dentist, got lost, had to text and call before I finally found my way there, thankfully only 5 minutes late. I had called them finally after I texted Google for the phone number so they knew I was lost.
Taylor and Drew both went to the Dentist this week too. I took them to Mark's work, which is lucky for us. I switched. They did great, Taylor chatted like a chatty cathy doll the whole time, "what's this?" "What are you doing?" What's this for?" And than she was showing them on Mark dances. Which was funny, imagine the Egyptian dance but arm's out sideways at an angle instead of front and back. They got a kick out of that.
Than it was Drew's turn he did super, not a word spoken, opened his mouth didn't talk while instruments where in his mouth. The Dr. commented on how he needs to be their model patient. You have to understand most of the patients they see are special needs patients. (this is a pediatric Dentist.) He talked to me a little about Drew's week bottom lip, because Drew doesn't spit, which he said is related to his speech, all due to the lower lip. Anyway everything else looked good.
Book Report
Oh Michael had a book report due this week. I think he did a good job, and he did most of it!!! It was on Number the Stars. A good book set during WWII. Don't know how much he really got out of it. Thursday we got to go swimming at a friends house, we had a lot of fun. Did I mention how hot it's been lately. It's been in the upper 90's. Too hot, and some humidity. Yuck!
Chargers and Girls Night dinner with a homeless man
Friday Mark and Michael with some other guys from work to the Chargers game, they gave the military some cheap tickets. So the girls, Drew and
I went of to Rally's (or Checkers is what we call it) the love it, but I think it's because of the shakes. But it doesn't have indoor seating so we ate outside, they didn't want to take it to go. We ate in the hot sun with a Homeless man. I wish I took a picture. He wasn't really next too us, but he was setting all his stuff on of his shopping cart, cleaning off some stuff, he looked very organized, and actually very clean. I think he tried to sale someone a orange, because surely he wasn't offering it to him for free. The girls commented on him, taylor said, "he sure does have a lot of food." ha, ha, I thought was was funny and probably the opposite. He had a little portable radio he was listening too and never b
othered a person except for the orange. I felt guilty throwing our leftover food away, and wasn't sure if I should offer half eaten hamburgers to him or not. He didn't look starved in fact he had a pot belly. So that was an adventure. Later we went home and watched the Princess Bride, Savannah's new favorite movie. That show is so funny. And I got a kick out of the giant rat, that I used to be scared of, seeing that a person was obviously in the costume. and than we followed it up with a little bit of Little house on the prairie, they love it! that night Michael was up until 2 am throwing up, he does not like throwing up, who does but he gets really freaked out about it. Finally Mark took over at 2 and I went to bed. I was so exhausted. The next morning Michael came in at 7 and let me know that he had prayed and Heavenly Father answered his prayers he felt all better. I was so happy for him. He is really sweet.
Saturday was a mellow day, I washed the car, we swam i
n the pool and had a lot of fun with the whole family.
Than later after the BYU game mark and I stayed up until 1 am trying to fix his power point presentation all the pictures where way to large, so I changed them and should of made them even smaller because it was still too large to email (which is why we where doing this.) And than still I tried to fix it this morning before church. So frustrating. I zipped it, condensed and still too big.
Church was good Drew slept threw most of sacrament. Yay! I bore my testimony, Michael wouldn't stop bugging me, "Mom you go" for about 20 minutes and finally I did. It was short and sweet but I was glad I got up.
Another tooth gone
And last but not least, Mark pulled out Savannah's tooth. It made some noise but he got it out in just a couple of seconds, I don't know how he does it. I guess that's why he will be the Oral Surgeon and not me. She says she isnt' going to open he
mouth when she goes to school. She is so funny. But the funniest is how she acted after he pulled it out. She didn't know it was out, she started to freak out and he told her it was out. And scream! She ran to her room, scream, shrieking, crying, "It hurts, it hurts!" I did manage to get her picture and finally to smile. It's really cute. Lets see if the tooth fairy remembers to come tonight. Now all she wants for christmas is her two front teeth!

Wow, just when I think I have a busy life. I love that Savannah love's Princess Bride. Does taylor like it? Watching it again with her was so fun. I had no idea all the little puns and word plays that are in that. I didn't catch most of them when I was younger. Please don 't tell me more near death experiences with Drew!! :) It kills me to think of it. The kids faces are all changing so fast. I miss them. Thanks for being a great mom to my nieces and nephews :)
