Baseball

So baseball season has finally began, we have had so much rain the games where delayed for 2 weeks. which I was very happy about. See Michael's make up game was supposed to be last Sunday, the coach even approched Mark about Michael messing the game. The coach said, So Michael wont' be there tomorrow, and Mark said no, the coach went on to say well we sure could use him he's our best pitcher and I was going to start him, he throws real hard. He wouldn't drop it. Finally Mark just said, I'll talk to his mom. But Mark simpley asked Michael what he wanted to do and he said he didnt' want to play on Sunday...Than he added "I dont' think mom would be too happy about that." I'm still glad he made the right decision. And look what happened that Sunday game was rained out! So now it's being made up on a week day, so glad Michael made the right decision.

So Michael pitched the first inning and did really well, not too well the second. From what Mark told me. (I stayed home with Drew, to keep him out of the sun and dirt.) He had some good hits too. Unfortulatley I don't have the pictures, we downloaded them on Mark's computer and it's not here. So pictures later.

Where to begin....

Let's see this week has been a whirlwind of events. First I spent most of my week helping my friend repaint her daughters room, I think it turned out really cute. Running Michael to baseball and of course speech. But the fun part began when Mark called on Tuesday around 7:00 am to say My Car Is Gone... What! was all I could say. Yeap his car was stolen...or so we thought. So I called insurance, he called the towing company, and once he found the towing company didn't' take it he called the police. What a head ache. Now he needs a rental, thankfully covered by insurance. Than the fact that we will probably have to get a new car, and this one is only 3 years old. Well around 12:30 Mark calls me and says, I'm an Idiot! Yeap car found. And the funny part is he walked by it 2 times that day earlier. Once with the police and once himself. Turns out the night before his garage door opening to the Apartment complex want' working so he parked by the lobby in "future resident" parking. And forgot. Poor guy, he must be over worked. What a bad day, the good thing he got the day off.

Disneyland...So Mark surprised me and took me to Disneyland yesterday for my birthday, I know it's a day early but that was the best day for him to have off. So I meet him after speech classes (which I totally would of skipped if I had known!) We went to the Blue Bayou for Lunch. It's the restaurant you see when you go on Pirates of the Caribbean. i thought it was really good, and since it was their for my birthday and had a special birthday pin I got a free little dessert.

We got there late so we had a limited time to ride, but we have annual passes now Yeah! So come on down. Anyway we went on Indian Jones, and headed over to California Adventure before it closed and hit the Tower of Terror, and Screamin .

Next we headed over to Soarin California, it had about 30 minute wait. Well it stopped for some repairs for about 20 minutes or so. So we had been in line for about 40 minutes when my phone rang. We are now really close to going in. It was my friend on the phone. "hey, Michael hit Drew in the face with a baseball bat on accident, and now Drew is Definitely going to have to go to the hospital." So I couldn't hear her perfectly but I
got the picture, She said his lip was split from his lip to his nose. I knew that was not good. Mark got on the phone with his fellow resident in San Diego and said, she was going to be coming in with Drew, he may need an O.R. So glad my husband works where he does, the E.R. is such a joke. So off she went to the Oral Surgery Department. WE obviously left the line and headed home. Mark too. (this is our only picture together we are on the tram to the parking lot to leave. I had planned to go back and get a picture in Disneyland.)
We both flew down to San Diego in Record time. Thankfully no tickets. Mark bet me by about 10 minutes. I wasn't' allowed in. He ended up not needing an o.R. they let him numb him, my friend Jen (who I actually just meet was hol
ding him.) My other friend who was watching Drew and the other kids over night, Candi, was filling out paper work. Drew couldn't of been in better hands, Candi is very level headed and does not panic. She knew what to do. Thankfully her friend and her friends husband where there at her house when it happened, because Candi's husband is gone. So thankful for good friends. Who else old your child as you he gets 16 stitches. Some stitches are inside holding the muscle back. These are some pictures we got, they are after they stitched the muscle I believe.
Check out the blood on his shirt...
So what turned out as a very fun day with Mark turned into a not so fun night. But thankfully he is ok. He'll have a nice scar. This boy's head can not avoid trouble. On the plus side, Mark is home today and Saturday! I was able to visit with a friend this morning who is in town from Utah. So fun to see you Stacy. She bought me breakfast too. So on the bright side things turned out ok.

Good Bye...

They had so much fun with their cousins, they actually got along really well.  We went to church today and then they took off to L.A. to visit Grandma.  Mark also left.  It was a lot of fun.  I'm really lucky to have married into such a great family!

Mormon Battalion

AFter opening ceremonies, Mark, Michael, Cal and Jeremiah went and his some balls at the indoor batting cages.  After that wee took off to Old Town to go to the Mormon Battalion, so awesome!  Something worth seeing.  They have done such a great job with the presentation.  I won't give it away you'll just have to go and see it yourself.  But here are some pictures, the black and white one is the one they give you for free!
Here's Savannah wearing some of the provisions the battalion would wear.  They went through a lot.  They have an amazing story to tell.
Panning for Gold!  The kids loved this.Pumping the well water!

Baseball Opening Cermonies

Michael had baseball opening ceremonies on Saturday, Mark took him, they just introduce the teams, it was nic ehe was home to do that.  I was going to go but I didn't.  Anyway they had four players from the Little League World Series Champions, they are from the twon next too use.  Pretty cool for Michael to see.
S

Sea World

WE had a fun weekend.  Once I made it through the week.  Mark's sister Christy and her family came to visit.  We meet them at Sea World.   It was fun we did the sea lion and otter show.  And the "preshow" Taylor was picked to come up and pose in funny picture with two other people.
The Polar Bears where up and playing in the water.  They are so big.  I coudln't get that good of picture they where swiming and moving around.  But they are amazing.
After the Shamu show (which was the highlight of Drew's day, he loves killer whales.) The kids went on the rapids ride and got soaked.  They went around twice.  It was pretty cold.
.
Petting the sting rays... Drew just looked everytime I asked him if he wanted to pet them he said, "no they bite me."
It was a fun day and to top it off Mark arrived around midnight.  It was fun to spend Saturday with him.

Fun at the store and more...

So Monday roles around, I don't have much planned I figure that it should be a pretty good day, until I remember I have to go and get Drew's blood drawn first thing in the morning. I had him drinking lots of fluids on Sunday. So we dropped the kids off to school and took off to Children’s hospital, to yet again to try to draw blood. Did I fail to mention after our allergy appointment Friday we went to try to get some blood to see if he might be a allergic to shrimp and some other stuff. Yeah totally not fun, Drew was really cute, but unfortunately after two pokes no blood. She said he was dehydrated, so the reason to be back on Monday.

So back to Monday...We start driving, and I'm trying to avoid his questions..."Mom where we going?" That didn't last very long, before I gave in and said the hospital..."No I don’t' want to go." And he knew why he didn’t' want to go. Immediately when we pulled off the freeway he knew he didn't want to be there. I felt bad. I walked into the room and it was full. Thankfully we where in and out in 40 minutes. And success one poke and the result was blood. Poor drew was a tensing up really fast, but didn't bawl, just whimpered, "ouch, ouch, ouch..." So sad, but once it was over he was fine and ready to get on with is day.

Later on Monday I dropped Michael off to baseball, and headed off to the store to grab some milk with the other kids, an easy task right? WRONG!!!!!!!! Our store has these little shopping carts the kids like to push and they only have two and I have three kids with me...see the problem? Drew asked before we got out of the car if he could push a little cart, with a flag and I said, yes. So the girls made a beeline for the carts and by the time Drew found them, he was not happy, happy is actually an understatement, he was extremely mad...He started to scream! I mean scream and yell and cry. I was so embarrassed I could not get him settled down, so I took him out and talked to him, he said he would be good and I told him he had to be nice. We walked back in and savannah unwilling gave him a cart but it WAS NOT THE ONE WITH A FLAG! Wow! what a mistake, once again he starts screaming and crying you get the picture right? I left I fought him back in the car and said forget it, Milk is not worth this torture. I had to get gas just a parking lot away and the whole time Drew is throwing a total tantrum. So I talked to the girls and said, they did not ask, they knew Drew wanted one etc. Anyway Drew calmed down I said he couldn't have cart, he said ok. Well seriously I gave in he had a cart and he had the one with the flag, but I really needed milk and he wasn't crying, I don’t' care what you say! But no candy at the end!

So  Tuesday is a busy day, we had gym, oops didn't make it there, Play group than off to speech and get Taylor after  than more speech.  Next week won't be so bad.

The big fun event was seeing Michael get welcomed into Boy Scouts, I got some video so I'll post it when I figure that out.  It was really cute.  We didnt' have a neckerchif (don't know if I was supposed to get it or someone else I just found out what was going on an hour before,) but the guy took the one off his neck that he has had since he was a kid and gave it too him.  I'm sure we'll get a nother one but it was cute.
