San Diego Zoo

I took Taylor and Drew to the Zoo the other day. It was fun. WE kind of picked what we wanted to see. Here's just of couple of the animals.

The Hippos althought only one was out. They are soooo big.

And finally we got to see the Tiger cubs. I've been the zoo serveral times and never seen them. There are 3. They were where close too.
The kids loved this and so did everyone else, it was hard to get pictures.

Here's Taylor on the sky tram. She loved it. Drew on the other hand was scared for his life he is clutching the side with all his might. Than he clang to me.

I love how Drew found/made his own seat, and is eating his lunch while watching TV I know not a good combination. But hey sometimes it's not worth the fight.

NIT Tournament and Mark's Birthday

For Mark's Birthday we went to the San Diego Aztecs game. They are in the NIT tournament. WE'll it was a very exciting game. San Diego won, and as you can see they charged the court. The stadium was full, I believe it might of been a sale out. It's always fun to go to games like that.

The Rest of my visit

So I nearly forgot about Monday first I played racquetball with my brother. Let me think who won......Oh yea Not me! I got killed 5 games to nothing. The highest I scored was 4, and a sore bum. I ate lunch with My brother and his family at chili's. Good stuff. And it snowed! I hadn't seen any snow for over a year. So Actually I saw it first on Sunday and I exclaimed, "It's snowing!" They laughed at me.

Later on Monday I went to the genealogy library with my mom, I have to say we find some good stuff. I could spend days there. I wish I could of. And later that night we went to hoppers.

But on Tuesday it all came to an end. But I was so excited to see my hubby and my sweet Drew waiting for me with some beautiful yellow flowers.! I wish I had a camera. But this is a recapture of what I saw. Drew was really shy with me at first it took a little while for him to warm back up to me. But now he doesn't really like me to go anywhere.

Do you notice Drew's new hair style? It's not even the same boy I left. Mark also got a haircut.

My Getaway!!!

Last Thursday I departed the San Diego airport by myself, Yes by myself to go to Utah for a visit without my children or my husband something that has never happened in 11 years. I have either had children or my hubby with me. I was thrilled! It was a much over do break. Life has been a little crazy Mark had sometime off so I took advantage as he watched the kids and some March Madness. Maybe that sounds bad to you living when my husband has time off and I don't see that much of him. But it wasn't mean it's a good thing I came home refreshed and ready to go back to "work." So I was totally spoiled by my fabulous parents. And My wonderful mother-in-law took me shopping on Friday and out to lunch it was so fun. I got a shirt, shoes, earrings, and shade clothing. All without kids. :-)
Later on Friday my mom came home and said, "OK back up for the night we're going to park city." I have to say I had my suspicions. My sister was talking to me and said, "John's sick i don't want to leave him all a lone." I'm like, "why?" she was funny and said it's because we would be hanging out. Than my dad turned to me Friday morning and said (he was on the phone with my brother who is married) "what time are you...." than he turns back to the phone and says to my brother I think 4:00. OK too suspicious. So yep it was a girls weekend. Unfortunately my sister in law Sarah couldn't come and we missed her, thankfully she had a good excuse she had a huge test to study for.
So off we went to Park city here's a peak into our fun:
Park City Main Street Her log lost Miner.

Bandit's Barbecue, Oh so good. My mom had the best though, tri-tip steak it melted in my mouth. mmmm......Mine was good as well just here's was better. My sister Melinda, yes we stuffed our faces. And we got Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory chocolate afterwards.

This was at our table. Kind of funny. We had to add the little black outs not really appropriate for my blog.

Ok, so we decided to dye my sister's hair. Neither one of us had ever dyed our hair let alone by ourselves.

The finsished product really wasn't too bad, minus the blond spot in the back. She did end up going to super cuts or something and getting it fixed.

Here's the beautiful Mountains as we left park city, We shopped all day on Saturday thanks to my mom! Thanks Mom!

WE'll the fun didn't end there. Sunday we had my birthday celebration with my family. It included Salmon and homemade apple pie (my request) and banana cream. All so good. I also had the opportunity to go the Draper Temple Dedecation. That was really nice I've only been to two others a while ago. So it was a good day. We ened the night with playing a ticket to Ride a super fun game by the way. I won one game. Totally lost the second. It was good fun.

Don't I have the best family ever! And Husband he did wonderful I know the kids had a blast while I was gone he painted the girls finger and toe nails! He played ball he took them out to eat and he bought them school lunch! He's the best!

Isn't my nephew cute!

Another Sleepy Boy

Drew fell asleep after dinner again. But since I had to clean the barbecue sauce off his face and hands he woke up and does not want to go to bed now. That's what I get for missing his nap. The good news is he ate his dinner all gone first!

What I have been doing for about 3 weeks.

When my mother-in-law was here in February for Michael's Birthday she brought her camcorder tapes. I said it would be "easy" to put them onto DVD. WE'll atleast 80 Dvd's later it was not as easy as expected. I put chapters on all dvd's, and the reason I have 80 is I made a copy for her, and her 3 kids. I have 18 just for me. But it's sure fun to see a finished result. I know she'll appreciate it too. I even got to see my Sister-in-law's birth of her 2 child which she was not thrilled her mom recorded I think she'll be grateful to have that someday.

Beware of the monster!

Drew was running around chasing his sister in this, and with his ferce looking weapons. A snorkle and a hanger. I would run if I were you.

My Birthday

As a mom many of us know that Birthday's really aren't any different than other days. Unless by some miracle your husband is home. But it was a nice day I received phone calls, and cards emails. My kids did a little extra. As I walked to the shower I said, "oh wouldn't it be nice to be surprised when I get out of the shower and see my kids cleaned up." Michael did listen and he cleaned. The girls made cards. Mark had planned to take me out to eat but the Relief Society dinner was that night and the YW where invited so no sitters. So we took everyone. On the way we saw a car fire, and Michael asked all the way to the restaurant about the person in the fire how did it start, is the person OK, etc...  And poor Taylor had a horrible ear ache she was bawling I had to bite a Advil in half that happened to be in our first aid kit in the car.  We went to a place in Old Town. (not the one I was planning on because it didn't look like it was open.) But this place was called Old Town Mexican Cafe. It had a mariachi band playing, homemade tortilla's going and one screaming two year old. Who did that belong to I will never know. He was so awful though, he threw stuff off the table, he screamed and yelled, threw his root bear. I mean what kind of parents would let a kid act like that at one point the parents even pushed his high chair away from the table and let him sit there and fume. Yes fume. He was only under control when he was on his mother's lap, and no one could look at him, talk to him, even his dad. And Guess what? He was actually cute when he calmed down, oh wait that's because he was mine!!!!!!!!! And yes the story is true about Drew. It was horrible. Dinner was great the kids not so great. Not one of them ate their dinner, they all filled up on chips and salsa and root bear. But look at this gorgeous cake mark got me. We didn't get to eat it though because he put it in the freezer instead of the fridge and so we (just mark and I) let it sit out for a while, but a while too long Mark feel asleep. I put the cake back in the fridge and hope for birthday cake tomorrow.

Smore's

So Monday I had told the kids we could have smores after FHE if they picked up the living room. We'll that never happened. So I promised them if they could keep the house clean on Tuesday and work as a team we would have them on Tuesday. So Savannah worked at a frantic pase and cleaned everything up, Taylor only had to do a little but Michael didn't want to help so he didn't get any. He was at scouts anyways. Drew was supposed to be in bed, but he came out and was soooooo mad. He crabbed a stick and a marshmellow and sat down. They had a lot of fun.

I ended up cooking Marshmellows for the girls, they were a little too impatient.
This is Drew trying to pose like the girls with his head to the side. He is funny.
Drew's first marshmellow caught on fire, and the second one fell off. But he ate two marshmellow's before that so he was happy.
