Drew Goes To the Dentist

Drew went to the Dentist for the first time this week. This is Drew showing me what he is going to do when the Dentist asks him to open his mouth. He did so good, he let the hygenist clean his teeth, even put flouride on it. He was so good. No crying, no fussing. He loved it. So all the kids went and only one has cavities (3 cavities), Man Dentist are expensive, how do they think they can get away with charging so much? I mean who do they think they are and I bet oral surgeon's are even worse. ha, ha, ha....I'm so funny.

11 Years!

January 22, 1998 January 2009

Mark and I celebrated our 11 year wedding anniversary yesterday. We went to dinner and a Movie. I can't believe I've been married 11 year. It's crazy, 11 years, 4 kids, Dental school, 4 moves, and Oral Surgery Residency, we've been busy. Even though there is always ups and downs in all marriages, I wouldn't trade this handsome guy for anyone else. What a wonderful blessing he has been in my life. Time sure does go by fast when your having fun and in love!

I made a little slide show of us over the past years, boy have we grown up!

Someone tired?

This was pretty funny, Drew was determined to eat his biscuit, but he was so tired. He kept falling asleep. I turned off the video just too seconds early, because he finished his biscuit and than his head started to bob, and he was asleep.

A trip to LA and Stanta Montica Pier

Isn't this Street Cool, it's in west LA where Mark's mom leave until she was about 4 years old, but of course the trees where a lot smaller. Amazing what some 50 years can do to a tree. It was like this for two blocks.

No I'm not pregnant it just looks like it!

What do you think of happy Michael, vs. Grumpy Michael.

I think he has a future....

Here's Drew playing on Savannah's game, it's kind of like guitar hero but hannah Montana Style, and a lot smaller.
I couldn't resist, I had to add two video's. This one is funny because he starts getting tangled.

Kindle

I wish I could have one of these they look so cool.

Kids

Ok, so I really should be cleaning, I didn't go to the gym so I could clean (shh, dont' tell Mark) Plus I went on a 3 mile walk and played soccer last night so I think I'm good.

So my kids are too funny. Drew is absolutley obsessed with balls, and cars. He has to wear a ball shirt or a car shirt. It's pathetic. So last night I was leaving to play soccer. He saw my shin guards, and my ball shirt and he would point on one, "ball?" and the other, "ball?" So just as I about to walk out the door, he holds up his pointer figer, "on, on!" which interprets to, "hold on." He runs into someones room and brings me this:

Which is a part of Micheal's soccer banner for his old team. As he handed it to me, he waved and sayed, "bye." So sweet.

Than I have Taylor who loves to make up words. If she doesn't know what something is she makes up a word. Like today we were practicing saying the "c" and "k" sounds so I said canoe, we got distracted and I asked her to say what the picture was and she came up with some funky word totally made up. So I don't if she made up this or she heard it but this is a fun saying she got savannah to say with her, "your funny like a bunny, your a little rattlesnake." It's so funny whenever I hear them is just puts a smile on my face, and it drives Michael abosultely crazy. They kind of sing it.

Do you love her hair, I think it's awesome I wish the camera could catch the picture better.

And for Michael, what can you do with a boy who has the longest thickest eyelashes, and the most beautiful eyes, and freckles? Oh and did I mention his love for his hair? Yes the boy probably spends atleast 1 hour (added up through the day) in front of the mirror checking out his hair, he is rediculous. He won't have it cut. If he could he would have it sweep infront of his eyes all the time. He doesn't want his eyes to be seen. Why not, the girls must chace him with eyes like his.

I'm mad that my camera likes to take blurry pictures it does it a lot. Ugh!

Last but not least funny Savannah! Here she is pulling a funny face, I think she looks a little like a psycho chipmunk!

Happy New Year!

So I'm behind on everything lately.  What a great way to start the New Year right?  But oh well that's life!  So we had a lesson today on Do It Now in relief Society.  It was good instead of focusing on these long term goals focus on doing it now.  My dad wrote their wards Bishopric Message this month for the newsletter.  I really liked it.  He used a quote from Kung Fo Panda.  You know the old turtle Master Oogway?  We'll he was talking to Po because Po (the panda) wants to quit and go back to making noodles.  Master Oogway says this great quote, "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift and that is why they call it the Present."  I love that.  Along with our lesson there are things we can work on today.  I think we should take each day one day at a time.  My dad gave some good examples.  Like exercise, you want to be healthier this year, so you set the goal I'm going to exercises  so much a week or whatever.  He said what can I do today?  For him it was skipping his brown bagel, aka chocolate donut.  So what I want to say is how can I make today better?  I can I improve my family life today?  How can I improve my Scripture reading today?  etc.  So this year I won't be posting my long list that I ended up loosing last year of this years goals.  Although I do think it's important to have goals and to write them down.  Maybe with our long term goals we can take each day and a see how can we work on those goals today.  Let's do it Now!

P.S.  Yeah, I didn't stay up until midnight, I'm just to old for that anymore.  :-)  Seriously I'm too tired after a long day at sea world.  And than to know I'll be up with Drew at 6 am no thanks I need my sleep.

Old Town

I forgot to Mention that we also went to Old town on Saturday I think it was. I have never been there it was cold but fun to look at what San Diego began as. We need to go back though and check out this restaurant it had a long line and smelled really good. Before going there we meet Mark and ate lunch at Point Loma Seafood, the kids had fun looking at boats and checking out a seal or a sea lion. He was pretty big, and came right up to the boat docks.

Wild Animal Park

While my parents where here we did a lot of fun things among eating out all the time, we also went to Wild Animal Park for the first time, and Sea World. It was a lot of fun. The kids loved the animals, especially Drew, he was so excited. Here's some photos and hopefully this little slide show works.

Chrismtas Day

We had a wonderful Christmas. The kids were happy and the best part of the day is when Grandma and Grandpa came. We were a little worried because there was a storm warning for Utah. But everything worked out great. Our weather even coperated. I should mention the rest of the family got the stomach Flu, Michael was up all night on Monday he threw-up 10 times, Mark got it and Savannah got it on Tuesday. Thankfully we were all in the clear by Christmas Day. OUr Stomach's were not really baack to normal, it took michael about a week to really be back to normal eating habits. We had a great meal, I had prepared most of it the day before but I am happy to announce I did it all by myself, seriously Mark was gone at work so I litterally did it all myself. It was too much good food. Which included Chocolate Cream buy made with a pecan graham cracker crust mmmmm.....so good. Here's some highlights.
