Drew got an early presnt.

Since Mark's parents where in town they gave Drew his birthday present early. He loved it. He had a lot of helpers helping him.

Soccer In the Fog

Michael had a soccer game on Saturday and there was a lot of fog. Mark's parents came out to watch him play, thankfully the conditions cleared up. But you can see it was pretty bad. His team ended up tying the game.

By this picture you would think the game was on a different day, not just an hour later.

My Big Boy

Drew said, "I'm a big boy." When I put these clothes on him, I didn't say anything. It's so cute that he recognized what a big boy he is in his nice church clothes. These used to be Michaels, He loves having a tie and a belt. I hope that lasts.

Spider Web

I found this spider web one morning, we have had a lot of fog and a lot of moisture in the mornings. I just thought it was pretty cool looking.

Did you know you could make homemade twinkies? I didn't until I found this great website with a bunch of delicous recipes. It's on my Friends list (I know that they really aren't my friends, but it's a blog with updates.) Anyway it's King Author flour blog. Saturday Morning

So Mark came home from the gym put on his Jay-Z music and started to breakfast, the kids started to Jam!

Movie Night

Friday night we watched a movie as a family, that went well as we tried to find something we could all agree on, Mark finally picked The JOnas brother's concert experience, Michael did not like it. The girls did, but Taylor didn't finish this is how she fell asleep.

Taylor Student of the Month

I'm so proud of Taylor, not just because she is Student of the month but how well she has done at school so far. I was very worried how she would do, she had some big discipline problems. But after parent teacher conferences I have no worries. Here teacher said nothing but great things, no problems! I am so relieved she says she tries so hard to do her very best everyday, she is a hard worker (something we are not familiar with at home.) Taylor also has confidence, in a good way. Unlike Michael and Savannah at this age, she is not shy at all. She participates readily. I'm so happy she is doing so well. Way to go Taylor!

Another fat lip!

I forget these upload backwards. So take a look at this picture of Drew, does he not look like he got Jay Leno's Jaw in this picture?
I just thought his eyes looked funny in this one, he like to make funny faces.

And here we are showing his fat lip, he liked looking at it int he mirror. But I'm just glad it was nothing more that a little scratch and a fat lip. WE don't need more lip injuries.

I know his face looks filthy, I do wash his face believe it or not, he does usually have theat redness though, not sure what's that from.

Having fun with friends and the pool...

So the girls had some friends come over the other day. I can't believe it but they went in the pool, it had to be 60 degrees in there it was cold! But they had fun. I only got Taylor and her friend, Savannah and her friend weren't in for very long. I think I blinked and they where out.

Taylor and Courtny tried and tried, to get on this floaty but never made it, I missed it when they where on it, but they used the ladder for help than.

Michael's worst day ever!!!

So poor Michael had quite the day today. First he did get made fun of for his hair, that makes me really mad. For one it doesn't look bad, even if it's not the hair style you like. One "friend" said, "don't be offended but your hair cut looks stupid, some friend.
But that's just the beginning in first Recess Michael got hit in the mouth with a baseball bat, it was an accident by someone who hit the ball and Michael wasn't paying any attention. We'll I didn't get a call from the school until 1:30. She told me he got hit had a small cut and mentioned a tooth came out. I texted Mark and he told me to go and look.
I went and he lost a tooth (that was already loose) chipped a permanent tooth, and another baby molar was knocked loose too. He had a small cut on the outside of his lip and what I thought was some scarps inside. So he went back to class.
When he got home he said Mom I think my tooth went all the way through, he would let me get a good look at school. I got a hold of mark again, and said to let him go to practice and than bring him in. So we did.
So we got home around 9:30. 2 hours at Mark's office chasing crazy hipper Drew (I have no idea why he was so crazy.), Yes his tooth went all the way through. He got 3 stitches inside and 3 outside, don't I feel stupid, but I have to say I"m sure glad Mark is an Oral Surgeon Resident, everything was free, and Mark did a great job. He also did some tooth restoration on Michael's tooth that was chipped it was also very sensitive. So Now Michael has a fat lip. Poor guy and he is now worried he'll get made fun of for his fat lip and stitches. On the way home he told me this was the worst day ever! I told him stitches are cool. A Date and Michael...

Saturday Mark and I went to a football game, it was at the Chargers Stadium but it was a college game it was San Diego State vs. Southern Utah University. Our friend's brother plays for them an so we went with them and got free tickets. So that was fun. They had a crazy fireworks, sky show afterwards. It was soooo loud, I can't even explain how loud. We also couldn't really see the fireworks where we where sitting so we left, but we could see them out by the car, they where really could now that we didn't have the annoying music. So it was a fun night out. Sorry no picture, I look terrible in the one I have.


So Michael is a funny kid, he spent at least 20-30 minutes on his hair this morning, I'm not kidding. He is so worried about what people will think (I don't know where he got that, surely not from me :) So He said it didn't look like yesterday's hair do when he did it. I thought it looked great, and it did it actually looked better today than yesterday. He also won't wear his skinny jeans again because only one person said they liked it. I said, he is a boy in 5th grade and I said kids in 5th grade are not going to complement you a lot. They just don't. I don't' know what to do with him, he is so self conscious. About his looks.

A Haircut

So I got Michael to let me cut his hair. We found a Zac Efron picture and went to work. So here is his school picture taken a week or so ago.

And the Final result, I think his smile says that he is happy with it.

It's still wet, but I think I did a pretty good job, especially since I have never been trained. It's really fun though. I watched some video's and got some tips a while ago from a friend. I've cut it before but I think this one turned out better than the others. Plus he likes it! I thinned it out a lot he has a ton of hair.

Now I just need to post the picture of him in his skinny jeans. He has been wanting those things for a long time now. And he earned enough money to buy some. He was so happy, I forgot to get his picture when he wore them. He looks pretty darn handsome in them, I think, but I am just his mom. I'll get a picture.

Busted

Yesterday I walked into the kitchen and saw this. It wasn't the first time, but this time I decided to take a picture. I wish I had my camera the minute I walked in he was holding on with one hand and leaning out with the other.
