Back in September we had a family ward temple day, since none of my kids are old enough to go to the temple we went to temple square and played bingo, we had the kids look for all the different symbols on the temple and than talked about it. They really enjoyed it. (Well most of them did.)
I haven't been here for a very long time, this visitor center had a miniature temple that you could look into and see what it looks like inside it was pretty fun for kids.
I remember going to the Tabernacle and thinking it was sooooo big, but now it looks soooo small compared to the Conference center but it is still an amazing building.
