Well we have officially had the kids out of school for 2 days, and let's take a look at how's it going shall we...
Day one, "OK kids we need to clean up before you can do anything" (because the night before they where all in bed by 7 pm for totally ignoring me and my request to pick up the play room for dessert.) But we ended up playing Lego star wars on the xbox for about 4 hours, I know horrible but I helped and we finsihed it. Than it was time to clean Of course no one happily did it. But it eventually got done. Later we went to the store, Big mistake, we went to walmart this time it's a walmart in the rich area so no bumbs. One should of only taken one hour took 2 or more. I was looking for a bunch of little things for a YW things I'm doing. Well Michael had the list and every time I got something that wasn't on the list he got really mad the more I did it. Than they all wanted Candy I said no, so of course they freak out. On the car ride home t hey are all fighting, because the 3 oldest are all sitting by each other and no one can keep there hands off the other. I was ready to give up. But I called my wiser older Brother and he gave me some great counsel and plus Mark called and said if the house was clean he'd bring home dinner. And we where mostly done. Oh I did a game for cleaning and it seemed to work my sister-in-law suggested it. We played music and I would stop it every so often they had to try and get it done before so many stops.
Day two, the house is still pretty clean in the morning, We go to the gym, which was good but according to Michael a complete waste of his day! We come home eat lunch and I decide I need to get some more shopping done. You'd think I'd learn from the day before 4 kids and shopping just don't mix! We went to Joann's fabrics which according to Michael again is a boring store. But we got most of what we needed, Of course I spent a lot time referring my kids, and keeping them from running each other down with carts. So frustrating. And than t he check out, Savannah throws her self on the floor crying because I won't let her get Candy, you won't believe we just bought a bunch of stuff for her birthday. She is seriously sitting on the floor crying. Taylor is checking out stuff, I make sure she puts it all back, Michael is wondering why in the world we can't get candy, Taylor always gets candy at the store. Yes I'm beginning to boil inside. We get to the car and Taylor is sitting all nicely with a big happy face in her chair, too innocent looking. I ask her to check her pockets there's nothing in my pocket's mommy. So than crazy me decides we better check Michael's for these straw hats I even call to see if they have them and they do, well since we where by target I decided to run in there. Savannah is crying the whole time because I made her sit in the cart with Taylor and Taylor hit her. So than we run to Michael's only to find out the straw hats cost a fortune and once again according to Michael, "a complete waste of time to come here.!" So home we go, kids are fighting, yelling, screaming at each other, I turn the music on trying to drown them out. Finally I can't take it they are fighting over a stupid water bottle, "You had a drink I saw you," "no i didn't" "yes you did", "no" yes you get the idea, but one was sobbing the other yelling. Ugh! yea I lost it. And I don't need to go into details lets just say they all stopped yelling and it was dead silence the rest of the way home.
I send them to there room, tell them they can't come out until they are clean. Everyone is acting as sweet as sugar. Than Savannah comes and tells me that Taylor has gum from the store and sure enough innocent taylor is not innocent she stole foot long gum or whatever it's called. So now I need to take her back and make her pay for it at the store.
Let's see what else, mmm, the laundry is piling up, the sink is full of dirty dishes, my house is a mess let's put it that way, and we get to start all over tomorrow. Wish me luck! Thankfully Hawaii is just around the corner!

I hear ya! I had to take all 4 with me this week and its tough. They do better when I tell them how I expect them to behave before we get out of the car. I use to say "be good" but now I say "no running, no touching, no screaming, walk by the cart, stay where I can see you....." So not my favorite thing to do!
You poor thing. We had a stealing incident yesterday too, but mine was at least by a child too young to know better. Anytime you need to get some shopping done (in the next 2 weeks) you are welcome to drop some or all of the kids off here. My kids would love to have them over.
