More Christmas eve

Each year we all get new ornaments and PJ's (well the kids get PJ's) and we read two books, the nativity (but we already acted it out at the Mark's parents,) and "Twas the Night before Christmas."  That night all the kids slept in my room which was a great idea.  Seeming how the their bedrooms are straight up stairs from the room with the Christmas Tree.  It all worked out pretty well, minus the fact that I couldn't sleep after I got to bed at 2 am.  Michael didn't sleep that well either.  But the tooth fairy did come and that's  a miracle.    Savannah didn't like her ornament, but everyone else did.

Christmas Eve

Christmas eve we had dinner at Mark's parents house than we watched Joy to the World and than acted out the Nativity.  Drew was Joseph, Michael a donkey, Savannah Mary, Taylor a girl Shepard, Brian and Diane where the inn Keepers.  Later we opened gifts.  Drew can drive me crazy, he got some cute trains from his Grandparents and he threw them down and said, "I hate trains"  "I don't want trains."  But he eventually liked them and all the other kids where happy with their gifts.  Than we had brownies and peppermint ice cream with homemade hot fudge!  YUM!

Getting ready for Christmas

One day I was gone in the morning working on a 3 hour building project.  My mom made cookies with Savannah, Taylor and Drew.  They got really creative with their cookies.  They just added food coloring to the dough and went to town with it.  I thought that was a fun way to do it.  And they tasted great too.

 Taylor was a big help in the Kitchen on Christmas eve.  She helped Mix up the apple pie and other stuff we cooked.

 But the funnest thing was she lost her tooth that evening just before we went to dinner at Mark's parents house.  So you can guess what she kept singing, "All I want for Christmas are my two front teeth."  Did I record her singing it?  No, what a good mom am I?

Dad comes for Visit

 Mark came the week before Christmas for a visit.  He had to work on Christmas.  So one day he took Michael snowboarding.  Michael is getting pretty good.  i'll see if I can post video, but know my luck probably not.  So they went to Brighton and had a lot of fun.

Later that evening Mark took all the kids to a Weber State Basketball game.  They had a lot of fun visiting with him.
