Happy Birthday Drew

We went our cabin as a family and it happened to fall on Drew's birthday.  So we celebrated it there.  I can't believe my baby is 5 years old!  Too crazy.  It was so beautiful at the cabin this time of year.  It's up pass deer valley.

My cute Nephew Nathan!  He is so cute isn't he?
We are big into duct tape right now at our house.  It's the thing to have.  Drew wanted 5!

We went on a walk to one of the meadow's.  The color's of the trees are just so pretty right now.
The boys where having fun throwing rocks in the little pond, it turned into a splashing contest.

My sister-in-law sarah and melinda, are they cute!

You can see the big rock on the left this is part of their rock throwing!
Savannah found a tiny frog, you can see it barely next to Taylor's face.
A rare moment caught on camera, my kids sharing!  Taylor is sharing the frog with Drew.

 The girls!
The dog's, from left to right Zoolander, Joey and Charlie they are so cute!

Michael is so corporative when I want to take his picture!
We have had our picture taken on this tree for many years. There used to be another one that curved next to it but it has since fallen down.

This is looking down to our cabin.

My Grandpa and my dad built this cabin over 35 years ago.  It's a simple cabin, but I love it and wish I went more often.  There is no running water and we have an outhouse.  The do have electricity now but we didn't for a long time.  The only running water is from a take my Grandpa fills each summer above the cabin.

We even hauled cake and ice cream up to the cabin!  Drew was having a lot of fun until he got stung by a bee.  We where eating outside when the bees came like crazy!  He said, "why did we have to come up here for my birthday?"  He has got stung a lot this year.

I think it only took 5 tries to get all his candles blown out.  :)

Later we went on a nother hike.  This time up the a old silver mine.  It was really beautiful.
This is looking into the cave.
If you look closely you can see the old tracks for the mine carts.

We didn't go to far, there was big rat droppings and who knows what else in there.  But I've gone in further when I was younger and it goes pretty far and actually turns to another tunnel.

Behind use is the Heber Valley!

More pictures of our cabin.  See the carpet?  My grandma put that together with scraps.  It's so fun.

below is my Grandparents.  My Grandma and Grandpa used to come up a lot and to little things to the cabin.  It's been tough for my Grandpa this year without my grandma.  Normally we have an extended family get together this time of year.  My Grandpa couldn't do it, not with out my Grandma. I'm grateful I was able to be here last year.  It was my first time in over 8 years.

I took these pictures because I want to always remember the cabin.  My grandpa wants to get rid of it now.  I hope he doesn't.  It's a family legacy!  Below is looking down from the loft.
