Kindness

Since I moved her to utah have I been blessed with lots of acts of kindness.  (I had a lot in San Diego too.)  Among many of the acts of kindness I have received anonymous acts of kindness.  Different things.  But most recently I received a letter in the mail from Someone.  The return address was in tiny print with now name.  Doesn't really matter because I have no idea who lives at this address as it in SLC somewhere.  Well as I opened this card up there was a very touching note inside.  And 2 David Archuletta/Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert tickets at the Conference center.  I couldn't believe.  I'm sure many of you have heard that people where selling there tickets online for $100.  The tickets are free, you sign up and basically hope you get some.  Well someone willing gave me two tickets.  I was so touched.  (I have a couple of pictures on my phone, I'll post them later.)

So last night My sister and I went.  She was so thrilled, it was fun to see how excited she was to go.  Well the crowd's where huge, we got there a hour and half early because we heard that if you aren't there by at least an hour early you may not get in, even with a ticket.  So My parents dropped us off, and we walked back behind the conference center to get in line.  Thankfully the line moved quickly.  Most people where very courteous and got in line others just jumped on in.

Another act of kindness is someone has been giving us 12 days of Christmas.  Not one but two people are doing it to us.  The kids love it.  It been a lot of fun to see what we receive each night.   They are so fun.  Each one is different.

Last Sunday I received a phone call from a lady in my ward.  She wanted to take me shopping to by me something, not something I needed but something I wanted.  So we went to Kohl's the next day and she bought me a really nice vest and beautiful shirt to go with it.  It was so fun.  I was so surprised.  Each act of kindness weather it's a note or gift is truly appreciated.  They have helped make this Christmas feel extra special.  I'm not used to being a recipient of such secret acts of kindness or just willing to give.  

So thank you to all of you who think of me, and really boost my spirits.

The scenery was beatiful when you walked in.  And the concert was amazing!  David can really sing.  I was especially touched by Silent Night, one of my favorite Christmas songs.  The spirit was very strong there.  I feel so blessed to be able to go.  But mostly I feel so blessed that someone thought of me.

Santa Comes to Visit

We had a surprise visitor today it was Santa!

 Some where more thrilled to see Santa than others.  Michael thought he was a little too cool for this.  Drew sat on his lap for a second, but when we tried for a retake because Michael's eyes where closes he did not want to do it.  They all told Santa what they wanted, except for Michael.  I think what they said was all a big surprise to me!

Another Tonsillectomy

Taylor had her tonsills removed yesterday.  Mark flew in the night before so he could be here for it.  She was so brave.  Primary children's is a really great hospital.  When they asked if she had any questions she said, "can I ride in a wheel chair."  They said sure.  Because  most of the time they have those little tyke wagons for the kids to ride in.  They went and found one and it was blue, and Taylor said, "how did they know I wanted blue?"  So cute.  She was in and out so fast.  And woke up great.  No crying at all.  She is a great patient.  She is doing good.  Resting well.  Although today she did walk up slowly to me and whisper, "I want to play outside."  I said I don't think so.  She is mostly just tired, but otherwise doesn't complain to much.  She only likes to eat ice cream.  But that is better than nothing.  So I can't load my pictures right now I guess I have to buy more space, has anyone else done that?

Deer Hunt

So I failed to mention Michael went Deer Hunting with My dad, brother and nephew.  This was michael's first time.  The weather was not good.  It was raining a lot.  Well when my dad called later that afternoon I asked him how hunting was, he said, "great until Ryan (my brother) shot a deer."  I laughed.  I guess it was a rather big 2 point.  They had to drag it a long ways to the truck.  Michael and his cousin where covered in mud.  Ryan called Michael and David Jackal and Hyde.  It was funny.  I guess they where pretty noisy.  So after loading the deer the boys had to strip down to their boxers and get in the truck because they where soooo dirty.  (My parents truck is kind of new.)  The boys where just laughing.  They thought it was so funny, especially when they went to the drive thru at McDonalds.  He had a lot of fun.
