Back to School

Well the kids sarted school, some where very excited others a little apprehensive. But I know they are going to one of the best school in town. As you can see the girls each got haircuts, they love them. Savannah has wanted short hair for a long time now, and Taylor wanted her's short again. They both look really cute.

As I just found out Drew will be going to preschool through the district for free so that is really awesome. He is so excited, he has been wanting to go to preschool ever since the kids started. So now he'll have speech once a week and preschool twice a week and during that time he will have speech there as well.
Life has been pretty busy, unpacking, trying to finish the bed (see below) organize get rid of stuff and get the kids ready for school. Back to school night was a little overwhelming, I'm so thankful to be living with my parents as we adjust to the new school, and the new load of activities they will be doing. They are great things they will be doing at school I'll just be amazed if I remember everything. I really like all their teachers, and they all seem to as well. They have all made friends, and they are loving the fact that they can just ride their bikes over to a friends house, I don't have to drive them or anything. But they do miss their friends back in San Diego a lot. But other wise I think we are all adjusting pretty well.
Michael is playing soccer with his cousin and we are excited he was able to get on a team, he scored 3 of the 4 goals in his first game. It's so good for him to help him build some confidence. He needs that a lot right now.
I have my good days and bad, but there are more better days than not.

Drew had fun getting his hair cut in a plice car while watching cars, it can't get much better than that!

Bountiful International Festival

We went one day to the Bountiful International festival, there was face painting so of course we had to do that.

And we had to meet the characters from PBS...

Dinosaur Park

One Saturday we went up to Dinasaur Park in Ogden, it was pretty cool. Drew loved it. He is at that age when little boys Love Dinasours! The girls had a lot of fun too. It was pretty warm that day, so we had some complaining.

Bunk Bed Project.

I was very fortunate to get these bunk beds for free.  And my friend Karen even delivered them to my house for me.  As you can see it needed some refinishing.  We where hoping that we could just add some stain but it didn't work.  So we decided to sand it all down...

It was a lot of work.  My dad did most of the sanding.  He put a new cork board in and a cool black board in his desk he can right on, and the white board as well.  It took us a long time.  Michael wanted it darker so we did that.  And I think the finished result was awesome!
What do you think?  Drew loves it, he sleeps on the top and so far no accidents.  (Knock on wood)

Drew went to the dollar store with his money and saw all this army stuff, he was so excited. His cousin Nathan and him had so much fun!

But it looks like they both lost in the end.

Ouch!

Drew squeezed himselft into this box, and than he wasn't very happy to be in it. How he did it I don't really know. But it was kind of funny.
