Fun at the store and more...
So Monday roles around, I don't have much planned I figure that it should be a pretty good day, until I remember I have to go and get Drew's blood drawn first thing in the morning. I had him drinking lots of fluids on Sunday. So we dropped the kids off to school and took off to Children’s hospital, to yet again to try to draw blood. Did I fail to mention after our allergy appointment Friday we went to try to get some blood to see if he might be a allergic to shrimp and some other stuff. Yeah totally not fun, Drew was really cute, but unfortunately after two pokes no blood. She said he was dehydrated, so the reason to be back on Monday.
So back to Monday...We start driving, and I'm trying to avoid his questions..."Mom where we going?" That didn't last very long, before I gave in and said the hospital..."No I don’t' want to go." And he knew why he didn’t' want to go. Immediately when we pulled off the freeway he knew he didn't want to be there. I felt bad. I walked into the room and it was full. Thankfully we where in and out in 40 minutes. And success one poke and the result was blood. Poor drew was a tensing up really fast, but didn't bawl, just whimpered, "ouch, ouch, ouch..." So sad, but once it was over he was fine and ready to get on with is day.
Later on Monday I dropped Michael off to baseball, and headed off to the store to grab some milk with the other kids, an easy task right? WRONG!!!!!!!! Our store has these little shopping carts the kids like to push and they only have two and I have three kids with me...see the problem? Drew asked before we got out of the car if he could push a little cart, with a flag and I said, yes. So the girls made a beeline for the carts and by the time Drew found them, he was not happy, happy is actually an understatement, he was extremely mad...He started to scream! I mean scream and yell and cry. I was so embarrassed I could not get him settled down, so I took him out and talked to him, he said he would be good and I told him he had to be nice. We walked back in and savannah unwilling gave him a cart but it WAS NOT THE ONE WITH A FLAG! Wow! what a mistake, once again he starts screaming and crying you get the picture right? I left I fought him back in the car and said forget it, Milk is not worth this torture. I had to get gas just a parking lot away and the whole time Drew is throwing a total tantrum. So I talked to the girls and said, they did not ask, they knew Drew wanted one etc. Anyway Drew calmed down I said he couldn't have cart, he said ok. Well seriously I gave in he had a cart and he had the one with the flag, but I really needed milk and he wasn't crying, I don’t' care what you say! But no candy at the end!
So Tuesday is a busy day, we had gym, oops didn't make it there, Play group than off to speech and get Taylor after than more speech. Next week won't be so bad.
The big fun event was seeing Michael get welcomed into Boy Scouts, I got some video so I'll post it when I figure that out. It was really cute. We didnt' have a neckerchif (don't know if I was supposed to get it or someone else I just found out what was going on an hour before,) but the guy took the one off his neck that he has had since he was a kid and gave it too him. I'm sure we'll get a nother one but it was cute.
