Coloring Eggs

After Coloring eggs we had Mark's speciality Shakes (strawberry and banana) and then everyone danced. It was cute. Not everyone would dance for the camear (Mark). But this is what I got.

Early Easter Presents

Grandma and Grandpa sent some sweet easter gifts. They all got new swimsuits and some other fun stuff, here they are showing them off.

Wild Animal Park

We were very lucky 3 of the Lions Cubs where sitting in front of the windows, these are are all males and will double in Size. Which is so crazy they are already so big.
This was the kids favorite place the butterfly jungle which is open for a short time. They all were determined to get a butterfly and they did. At one point all three were on the ground trying to get one. Only Drew didn't have to try he had a couple land on him, but not long enough for a picture. Should I mention we breifly lost Drew while waiting in line to go in here? Or maybe not. We'll we were in line the kids where looking at the weird bugs in wall when we noticed Drew was gone he had walked out of the cave about 30 feet back to the stroller and was looking for some food in our bag. I about died.

This is a baby cheetah is he not so cute. He saw a baby rhino, elephant, giraffee too. The elephant is less than a month old but too far away to get a good picture. He was so tiny, just up to his mom's knee.

The Zoo

On Tuesday we went to the zoo after picking up my Mother-in-law from the airport. I had invited her to come and I think she had a lot of fun, despite my kids being on there worst behavior some of the time. I'm not kidding it was never ending teasing by Michael and Savannah. Taylor did pretty good as well did Drew. Drew did sleep for some of the time so that helped. They love the zoo. We we covered a lot of area. But you'll have to notice in one picture Taylor is pinching Michael's check a lot of that was going on all day. Oh Savannah was a very unhappy camper as well, you'll see in one picture she looks pretty mad, she was she had been crying for about 5 minutes. Oh notice the camels foamy mouth, it was pretty gross he got pretty close and shock his head and all the people in front got a little wet! Yuck! OH I forgot to mention we saw the Polar Bears and let me just say this, it is definitely spring at the zoo!!! OH the comments by the people where so funny.

Spring Break!!!!

Well spring break is almost over. Am I happy or sad? Maybe I shouldn't answer that.

Oh before we get started I should tell you I gave Michael a haircut. I really don't like keeping his hair long but I"m trying to tell myself that there are worse things. Anyway he was in need of a trim, and the only way I got him to let me do it (because the hair dresser was not in that day) was he was grounded from video games, so I told him if he helps clean up a little and lets me cut his hair he could play his video game. and guess what he said. "OK!" So here it is

On Monday we went to La Jolla and saw the seals and their pups. On the other side of the "children's Pool" (the seals beach now) is a great place to explore the rocks, the tide was low so they had a lot of fun. There was a little "cave", plus water to swim in. It was so warm and beautiful that day I didn't wear a swimsuit but I should of I was sweating, all the kids ended up in the water at some point. I went with a friend and her two kids. We packed a lunch and my kids had a blast. We saw crabs, hermit crabs, "squirters" which I believe are sea anemone's that would squirt water out when you touched them. It was a great day.

Pine Wood Derby

I don't know why but it seems like the pine wood derby causes us to have last minute stresses.  Of course we forgot to get Michael's Car cut out, and since Mark would be doing that he did is Sunday because he would not be around the rest of the week.  We'll that all went fine.  but it was the matter of the weights.  Mark had a great idea that he would just fill it up with amalgam (stuff used for silver fillings).  so he drilled hole and took it to work on Monday we'll he came home around 10:30 saying that's not going to work it cost way to much to fill it up with that.  So I made a mad dash on Tuesday to the scout shop bought some weights, and wallah all done.  Michael had fun and even got third place (I won't go into that fact that he really got 2nd because some raced who shouldn't off!! Too old, Ok enough said).  I had to restrain Drew from running on the track and that was not an easy task.

He and Mark designed it and I helped him paint.  He was happy with it and that's all that matters!  (sorry I have no idea why this is in blue and underlined.)
