Projects...

Before
After
I think it turned out pretty good.  It was a lot of hard work.  I still have to clean off the piano keys and get it tuned but I'm done!
See the cedar chess at the end of my bed?  I recovered it with some valance, and part of a bedskirt I didn't use.  It was a light cream color (mickey mouse outlines) and very dirty.  I wish I had a before picture.  It made a huge difference!

My little baby?

Savannah and Drew came walking up stairs with drew is some old baby clothes. It was so funny, the first one was a onsie that said, "I watch ESPN with my daddy!"

I think this a 3-6mths sleeper.  Crazy kids.

Another Scar for Drew

Last Sunday morning Drew came into my room and said, "mom I feel off my bed and hit my lip."  It's dark so I feel his lip, no blood good.  Than we go into the bathroom and turn the light on, he has blood all over his hands, and shirt.  But I couldn't see where it was coming from.  Well it was under his chin.  And little cut.  My sister in law came to our rescue later and put a little steri strip on it and fixed  him all up.  I first tried to glue it with some skin glue but that hurt.  So just another scar for drew to add to his face!

His lip actually looked worse later.

First Day of School

Monday morning went relatively well.  Michael was super nervous to start junior high.  I have to say I was nervous for him too.  He had been in San Diego the whole week before school started when they have the kids come and tour the school check their schedule and stuff.  I had the open house night time wrong for the parents so I was 2 hours late instead of being early.  So annoying.  So we left really early and walked through his schedule.  When I left him with his friends he still hadn't been able to open his locker.

Excited cute girls, the first to class ready to go...

They all had a great first day of school.  Michael was really happy and survived the first week and his first school dance!  He did great.  We had back to school night for the girls and I t hink they will have a great year too.

Happy Birthday John and DAD

We where laughing so hard because mom didn't have the right candle numbers, so for my dad's 60th birthday she put 70 on the cake.  So funny.

Savannah made this card for john in church, each letter of Johns name is a maze for him.  Pretty creative.  Even if she did spell his name wrong.

Piano Recital and Sleepovers

Savannah had her first piano recital.  She did really well.  She was really nervous, she does not like being in front of people.  She made a few mistakes on the last song, she was really upset.  I tried to tell her it was ok, and point out that others made mistakes too.  I'm excited that she did this, it's a big accomplishment for her.

The girls always feel left out because they don't have any girl cousins who live here.  But thankfully they had sometime with their cousins from Washington who where visiting.  They slept over at our house, and I think where up way too late.  This is how I found them in the morning.

Dad retires

Here are some pictures from my dad's retirement.  It was a really nice program.  After we got a picture of our family on the Antique Fire Truck, long over due.

What do kids do when they get with your camera...

They put the dog on the storage room shelves.

They dance like divas in the street.

And take pictures of clouds, lots of pictures...

This is 3 of about 20 cloud pictures.
Below was all Joey, he decided a box of old clothes was the best resting place.
