Wind Storm

On December 1st we had a huge wind storm.  The power went out early in the morning and was out until about 8:30 at night.  We were very fortunate and didn't have much damage as you can see below.  My sister lost most of her fence.  The neatest thing though was after the storm, when the whole community came together and cleaned up.  It looked like a hurricane came through.  We where a category 2 hurricane.  I've been in a Category one hurricane in North Carolina.  We took a drive the same morning and I could not believe all the damage, so many trees lost.   It was a mess.  Tractor Trailers lined the side of the freeway, for a few miles.  And within a few days it looked like nothing had happened.  Ok not exactly nothing people still had missing siding and shingles, tree stumps, etc.  When I went to Melinda's on Sunday to watch jack people were out cleaning up, sawing trees, doing all sorts of work together.  It was very touching.  Something you never see on Sunday, trucks and trailers hailing debree.  Lots of traffic.  So crazy.   We where supposed to get another big storm that night, but thankfully it turned out to be nothing.

The adventures of kids

What do kids do when your not looking?
They climb on entertainment centers and make beds...

Than ask for your camera...because "you've got to see this!"
Than they have fun with your camera...

Savannah is posing for her 4th grade program, it was really cute.  She was in a square dancing part.  She did really good and I was so proud of her because this was really out of her comfort zone!
I walked into Taylor's room the other night and this is how she fell asleep.  I couldn't pass up a picture.

Welcome Baby Jack

On October 19, 2011 I became a aunt once again.  My sister had her first child.  John Blaine...or as he will be known Jack.  Was born around 10 pm and weighed a mighty 2 lbs and 6 oz.  and was 14 inches long.  Jack was 10 weeks early, they took him by c-section my sister was suffereing from preclampsia.  It's amazing how our technology has come so far.  To think that my sister for one would of died without our modern medicine we now how.  And how could such a tiny think survive without it.
Jack is now 2 weeks and 4 days old and as of yesterday weighted 2 lbs 10 oz.  He gained almost as ounce each day last week.  He is looking great!  So happy for my sister this has been a long awaited day for her, sooner than expected, but still wonderful.  My sister is doing much better.

Happy Birthday Grandma

2 Saturday's ago we headed up to Mendon to visit my Grandma's grave for her birthday.  My Grandpa is one of the sweetest men I know!  He has so much love for his wife of 65 years.  He paid a special tribute to her.  This is what true love is!

 Below is my Aunts.
This is my Dad's Family, Dad, Chris, Grandpa and Gaylene.

A rare moment,, just before I snapped this picture my Grandpa said, "I don't see that very often my kids all together..."  Only because they don't live around each other.
This is the best Looking 86 year old Man you'll ever see!  WWII marine/navy seal.  He still mows his own lawn, drives himself everywhere.  Does his own laundry, cleans his house, He is a very busy man.  He has always been a hard worker I don't think he has ever had an idol mement in his life!  Love you Grandpa!

More head injuries for Drew

So Drew has had another accident, big surprise!  He was at a friends, I thought he had rode a big wheel down a hill.  But i learned this is what happened...Drew was on a big wheel, trying to pop a willy and Drew's friends big brother decided if he gave  him a push he could Drew could pop a bigger willy.  So he gave him a big push and he succeeded and did a "big" willy right over.  He hit the back of his head on the cement, he ended up with 3 staples and a very big fat lip and soar tooth.  We where lucky enough to go to the Dr. office and bybass the E.R.  I felt bad though, I did have to pin him down when they put the staples in.  He was very brave.  He learned his lesson though, he will always where his helmet even on a big wheel.

Taylor Turns 8

Last saturday Taylor turned 8.  She was lucky enough to also be baptized on her birthday.  It was  a big day! She was so excited.  Bouncing off the walls.  As you can see in  her pictures she was very excited.  She was very silly in most of the pictures.

This is Tayor a poser and loves to have her pictures taken everywhere!
My Brother Ryan baptized her.  She choose who would baptized her and confirm her.  My dad did the confirmation.  They both did a wonderful job.

While we where waiting (Michael was still at home we found out trying to print his talk.) She kept looking at herself in the mirror.  Jumping up and down.  She was the only one for our ward.  Savannah gave a great talk on baptism and Michael did a great job on a talk on the Holy Ghost!

My best friend Stacy and two of her girls where able to come.
After the baptism we headed to my house for some cake and ice cream and also open her gifts.

 So proud of my girl.
My family minus Drew.  He run upstairs mad because my mom suggest he stand in front.  Ugh.

He grandparent Breese's came, they are always such a great support!

She was showered by many gifts!  He dad mailed he several.   She was hilarious when opening the gifts.  I'll have to post some video.  She kept saying the funniest things.

See the jean jacket, when she opened it from her dad she said, "Oh no he didn't get me a jean jacket!"

I guess below is her blue steel pose!

Aunt Sarah gave her Rapunzel hair!  She loves it.

This birthday just kept going and going... After Michael's Soccer game Taylor and I  went to Dinner  with my parents to Texas Roadhouse, she loves their ribs!  Plus she wanted to sit on the saddle for her birthday.
