Sharing time in the dark...

Last Thursday Savannah had sharing time at school.  Well it was bout how you lost something and than found it.  she wanted to bring our Bunnie, since we have lost it many times in California.  Well a little before I left our house the power went out.  I didnt' know it was also out at the school, it was pitch black in some of the halls.  Turns out Savannah was pretty scared, she is afraid of the dark.  The teacher she has is so sweet and had Savannah sit by her while the lights where out.  They where in the computer lab when the lights went out and when they want back to class they had to walk in those dark halls.

I took nibbles (our bunny) down during the power outage, Savannah was so excited to show him.  And all the kids got to pet him.  She is getting braver all the time when it comes to getting in front of people.

Taylor also had a program that day and the poor teacher thought it would have to be concealed.  but the schools power came on before it did at home, so I got a phone call saying it was still on.  The poor teacher has some technical difficulty's with the all that had happened, but it turned out so cute.  I'll post some pictures soon.

Wednesday events...

So I should of blogged this first but oh well.  So Michael and I have been going to counseling for a while.  And Michael's counselor suggested all the kids come in sometime.  So that's was we did last Wednesday.  So my parents asked how it went, mmm how to put this, Total chaos in a 4 X 8 room!  My kids brought out their finest.  We had kicking, hitting, yelling, name calling, face making, bugging, ignoring, and total tantrums, the only thing we didn't have was biting, than it would of been complete.  The counselor asked if this is was it's always like.  I said, yes most of the time.  (when they are all together.)  My kids have some really rough times when they are all together.  One is telling everyone what to do or not do, one makes faces and one acts all hyper the other just uses violence.  Anyway I left there totally exhausted.

The Best Sunday ever!

Where to begin...Let's see well last Sunday was the primary program.  we had a great practice at church on Friday, all the kids did their part, including Drew.  Well on Sunday during church Savannah started to say her stomach hurt.  I figured she was just nervous.  (Sacrament is last at our ward.)  So this was during Sunday School.  She ate some apples, seemed to be feeling a little better.  So we went to Sacrament.  Drew's teacher didn't know where Drew went he took off after they they got a drink of water.  So I began to look for him, and so did she (she felt really bad.)  Someone had found him hiding behind his classroom door just crying.  He was so confused with them practicing and not having class and everything.  He's eyes where bright red, and his nose was running.  I felt so bad.

So they start the song for the sacrament and Savannah and my mom take off.  As they are passing the sacrament Drew starts acting up, won't be quiet so I take him out just before they get ready to pray again.  He was not happy.  I see my mom and Savannah out there and turns out Savannah threw up...A lot.  I guess they barely made it in the bathroom stall.  Poor girl.  She said, "Mom grandpa needs to take me and Grandma home."  Well I convinced her to stay in the hall and just sit out there with grandma.

Meanwhile I got Drew back into the chapel in time to go up for the program, of course there was no way he was going to up there without me.  So I sat in front of the whole ward wrestling with Drew.  as we are singing I see Savannah on the other side, singing.  I didn't see her come up.  Poor thing did her part, sung and than I saw her rocking back and forth holding her stomach as other's where singing, thankfully the primary president noticed and sent her to go and sit with my parents.  Taylor did her part really well, she had it memorized.

than Drew's turn came, and he did NOT want to go and do his part.  (Don't ask me why I made him do this.)  He wouldn't say his part so I did, somehow got him back to his seat and within a minute he was asleep on my lap!

So Michael had the last part and did very well too.  It was his last primary program, I know he was really sad about it.  J/K.

So after church I got a voicemail from Mark's brother saying her wanted to drop of my papers.  So after church I was officially served divorce papers.  I mean this day just kept getting better and better...

Come home just in time to eat dinner, but before I could sit down I was in the bathroom with Savannah he once again was throwing up.  Poor thing.  She had a fever, was freezing cold, ended up throwing up again later after she went to bed.  Oh but now I'm getting ahead of my self.

See Drew was sick on Saturday and had thrown up twice.  I had texted Mark and he didnt' reply.  I told him about Savannah on Sunday and no reply until way later either.  I was pretty upset when he finally called.  Let's just say I wasn't happy at all, well the kids being sick, getting divorce papers, and the primary program mark got an earful.  by the time I was done I was crying really good.  So dumb!  I hate this roller coaster I'm on.

So I got all the kids off to bed, after I played some basketball with Michael, which helped my mood a lot.  When down to relax with my parents for a little bit, walked up to check on Savannah before I went to bed, just to see her shivering, and start to throw up.  Thankfully that was the last time.  Take note, don't eat garlic or Parmesan cheese if you think you might throw up!  Pretty nasty.  So finally I went down to my room exhausted, with a headache and  a heartache.  So I think that pretty much sums it up.

Just so you know Monday was much better, met with a lawyer and feeling less emotionally, but who knows what tomorrow with bring...

Big Dog

Our neighbors have a big dog and the kids love to play with him. These pictures don't quite give him justice, he is about as tall as Taylor.

Random

Savannah had to do a book report on a book about friends.  She chose to do hers on the "Christmas Oranges"  When you gave  your report you could dress up she dressed in pajamas, and brought little oranges to share.  This is a big thing for her because she hates getting in front of people, she has stage fright really bad.  But this is the cute outfit she wore and she says she was a little nervous but she did a good job.  (Parents couldn't come this time they didn't want to overwelm the kids on the first one.)

Drew cracks me up, he is all set, he had his popcorn, a heating pad a must be a good movie on.  Don't ask me why he has a heating pad on, he is just silly.

Ice Skating

The girls started ice skating lessons.  They really enjoyed it.  Although Taylor said he bum hurt from falling.  I got some video clips of them, while I froze, I forgot to dress warm, but atleast they where.  I hope these work.

A Golf Show

One day Drew came in and said, "mom want to see a golf show?"  So he and michael had a "golf show"  for us in the backyard it was pretty cute.
So both my boys bat left and hit left but they write right handed.  It's funny.  So Drew really wants his own little golf bag to hold his clubs, we have some little clubs left from Michael he uses.

Drew Starts Preschool

Drew started preschool, with his speech delay and other delays he was accepted into the district preschool program.  He was so excited to go, but of course the first day came and he was not so excited, he did not want to go in and did not want me to leave.  But we have been going for three days now and he let me leave without me sneaking out, he is really enjoying it.  It will be so good for him.  So he has that 2 times a week and speech once a week.

The speech therapist suggested he get evaluated for Occupational Therapy to help his muscle tone, and maybe to see if he has an sensory issues, because he loves to bit and hit a lot.  Who  knows.  Also we maybe getting his tonsils out, it maybe affecting his speech.  So more doctor appointments for Drew!  Below is picture from the other day after preschool.

Fun at the Utah State Fair!

I haven't been to the Utah State fair in years.  It was fun to go and the my kids really liked it as well.  We went with family, so that made it more fun.
The first picture is butter art.  It's all made out of butter.  It's pretty amazing.
we also went to this area where they had a pretend farm, the kids walked through stations and did different things, like collect corn, seeds, feed the cow and sheep, they really liked it.
The pigs, are huge!  Now if pig could just stay small like when they are piglets they I would want one because they are so cute when they are little.
I don't remember cows standing over six feet tall.  I guess I was mistaken, you an see the guy trimming the cow, he is probably close to 6 foot, they where so big.
Ok, we have a rabbit, but for some reason that was my kids favorite area, they begged me to get another rabbit, so Nibbles could have a friend.  Taylor loved that little rabbit she was holding.  Michael had one all picked out, it was a part lion head drawf rabbit all right.  I have to admit it was really cute.  And so was the one Taylor was holding.
The one behind Michael is a German Angora rabbit, they are really fuzzy.  We saw one that was called snowball and that's just what he looked like.
I can't believe how big some rabbits are either.  And I felt so bad for so many of them being stuck in tiny cages.  Our rabbit is so spoiled.
Savannah loves horses, so she was trilled to be able to ride a horse, even if it was in a circle.  Drew was a little hesitant, but he ended up liking it too.

Rainbow

Since being in Utah we have had a lot of thunderstorms, something we aren't really used to in San Diego.  One evening when we walked out of restaurant there was a beautiful double rainbow.  I wish I had my real camera but you can see it was really pretty.  This is off my phone.

Texas Roadhouse

Today my friend and I went to Texas Roadhouse to support my dad's fire station as they helped raise month for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  My dad was in the back helping make the sandwiches.  It was really good, and what a great idea for a funraiser.  I should of posted this earlier, maybe other's could of gone and support them as well.  But this is the link to the Davis county clipper about it.  Eat out and help ‘Jerry’s Kids’
Here's my dad helping out back, I only had my camera phone I wish I would of had my camera.

School

Here's just a couple of pictures on the first day of school. Taylor in her class.

Savannah infront of her class. And Michael and my mom, Michael doesn't have my mom but he is just a few doors down from her.

Back to School

Well the kids sarted school, some where very excited others a little apprehensive. But I know they are going to one of the best school in town. As you can see the girls each got haircuts, they love them. Savannah has wanted short hair for a long time now, and Taylor wanted her's short again. They both look really cute.

As I just found out Drew will be going to preschool through the district for free so that is really awesome. He is so excited, he has been wanting to go to preschool ever since the kids started. So now he'll have speech once a week and preschool twice a week and during that time he will have speech there as well.
Life has been pretty busy, unpacking, trying to finish the bed (see below) organize get rid of stuff and get the kids ready for school. Back to school night was a little overwhelming, I'm so thankful to be living with my parents as we adjust to the new school, and the new load of activities they will be doing. They are great things they will be doing at school I'll just be amazed if I remember everything. I really like all their teachers, and they all seem to as well. They have all made friends, and they are loving the fact that they can just ride their bikes over to a friends house, I don't have to drive them or anything. But they do miss their friends back in San Diego a lot. But other wise I think we are all adjusting pretty well.
Michael is playing soccer with his cousin and we are excited he was able to get on a team, he scored 3 of the 4 goals in his first game. It's so good for him to help him build some confidence. He needs that a lot right now.
I have my good days and bad, but there are more better days than not.
