I'm a Survivor

We'll I by myself took four children to the zoo.  Yes four.  Now you may think this is no big deal but to me it is, I pretty much refuse to do things by myself with four kids, especially zoo trips or things like it.  We started out pretty good, than I made a HUGE mistake.  I decided that we should get a big drink to share, that was going to be the "special treat"  we'll we only had that stupid souvenir drink for about 30 seconds before they all started to fight over it.  Taylor was the worst, she threw the biggest tantrum, and that was only the beginning.  Did I mention we had only been to see the bugs so far, so we had probably been there for about 30 minutes at the most.  I was ready to go home.  So some how we managed to get Taylor walking, (for those who don't know when Taylor throws a tantrum she won't move, she will plant her self there and not move.)

But it was all bad in between Taylor's four tantrums we saw the Polar Bears playing.  It was fun to actually see these massive animals moving and not just sleeping.  There are 3 bears, all up and walking around but one was putting on a show.  He was so big, he was up close.  Playing in the water with a big water bottle.  He was in and out of the water, it was fun because you can see them under water as well as above.  The kids loved that.
We also saw the panda bears playing, it was the first time out many trips that there doing something besides sitting and eating their bamboo or sleeping.  The mom and baby where playing and having a lot of fun, it was so fun to watch them as well.  The baby kept trying to climb this tree and his mom would pull him down.
All in all it was an ok day, we stayed for a few hours and left to go and eat, I even managed the commissary after for a few things.  I was beat when we got home.  But it was fun and I was proud of myself and I was still sane.  I know amazing.
Oh you may wonder why I don't have any pictures, we'll my husband had the camera at work.  So no cool pictures to go with my cool story.

Drew's new Sleeping habits

So Drew refuses to stay in his bed now, he climbs out all the time except for at night, which is good. But now he won't stay in for naps. I even got his porta crib out and tried that but he can get out of that too. It's so frustrating. I put him back to bed about 4 times today, finally he stopped banging on his door, because that's what he does to get out. he can't open the door yet. The first few times he is so proud of himself. I remember when Taylor did this. But I had nothing to stop her. She could open her door. But he finally feel asleep so i'm not ure if he got back in bed or feel asleep on the floor. I don't want to open the door and take any chances of waking him up.

This Week

We'll we had a good week.  Earlier this week we drove to Murrietta to visit a friend from Boston, Rebbecca.  Her and her family have just settled in there.  It was fun to visit with them.  We went to a really nice park up there, the kids loved it.  It has canopy's over the top to help keep it cool.  I was surprised to find out it wasn't too hot.  It looks like a really nice place to live, and affordable.  The girls asked if we could go back to the tent park I wish but it's a little over an hour's drive.

Thursday Michael finally came home.  I guess what did it was Mark said you can't go back next summer unless you come home on Thursday.  He seemed happy to see me, with his shy smile.  But that didn't last he cried the whole way home, and spent most of the day alone.  Not really wanted to talk.  He cried a lot for the first two days.  But he has gotten back into the routine, still he is a little moody.  The best thing is he has something to distract him, we have Wii Mario Kart and the kids love it.  So that helps him.

I taught my lesson today.  It went surprisingly well.  I'm very glad it's over until four weeks from now.  But it turned out good.  I can't believe how nervous I was.  I mean I've taught relief society before, but I guess it's because I really don't know the sisters that well here, but they where all nice so I really shouldn't be afraid.  And all participated, I got lots of compliments afterwards.  I had to stretch it I was done about 20 minutes early so I stretched until just 10 minutes before time so that was good.

The kids have one week left before school starts so we'll have to make sure we do some fun things.  Now that my projects are done for now.  Drew was jealous of me working on nibbles cage, he didn't like that at all.

Oh just an update, I went back to the doctor we don't know what  my pain is.  So it's chronic pain, that's about it.  I could opt for a CT colonoscopy, which sounded really bad.  And he didn't think we would learn anything.  I am beginning to wonder if it's my back.  I've had some really bad back pain, it makes it really hard to stretch on one side, who knows.

Nibbles New Cage

So here is the finished product.  After the dog destroyed the last cage, I got some chicken wire and went to work, most the would we had, except for 2 boards I bought but really didn't need.  There is even a little door we can go into.  The whole thing only cost me about $24.  You can't buy a cage at that price.  He seems to like it though, and doesn't want to come out.  I even have shaded covers over the top, it was scarps around the house.    Thanks to the help of my Mother in law and Mark it all came together. Mark worked and sweeted for a few hours and put all the frames together.  What do you think?

Cooling Down

The kids love to jump on the tramp with water, this is savannah doing a flip.

These are my caged animals.

Fun At the Park

We went to a new Park, I really liked it.  And so did the kids.  Taylor loved this spinny thing I'm suprised they never got sick.

When we first got there the slide was really hot later there was a cloud cover so the kids could go down the fast slide.

The Park now is called the park with the "up and down" thing.  They love this.

Attack of the dachshund dog

today Our bunny, Nibbles, had the scare of it's life.  Our neighbors dog, whom we have never met, got into our yard today, under the fence.  It went nuts over Nibbles of course.  I was in my pajamas, panicking.  I'm yelling for Savannah while trying to get this dumb dog from breaking into my rabbits pen.  Yes and that's exactly what it was doing, breaking it.  Attacking the cage, hitting it with it's nose.  It did get a mouth full of fur.  That did not make me happy.  Savannah ran the the neighbors to tell them, and I finally got Nibbles into the house, he was really nervous.  The Dog still didn't get the clue that the rabbit was gone, it kept running around the cage.  Dumb Dog.  So my neighbor apologized, and we both where in our pajamas, thankfully we have good taste I'm almost positive hers where from Costco too.   So now my cage is pretty much past repair so I went to lowes today spent $24, and got some chicken wire and some other stuff, and in the process of making a better cage, this a lot more work than I expected.  But I love my little bunny.  OH did mention he had to have his teeth clipped, yes I said teeth.  Thankfully we have a dentist in the house.  Nibbles teeth don't wear down normally and his bottom teeth come out over his top teeth (not normal) his teeth where about an inch long at least.  The top teeth where digging into the gums on the bottom.  poor Bunny.  Mark did a great job we had to use fingernal clippers and wire cutters.

What do you delight in???

So I got a new calling I was recently released from YW's and am now called teach in the Relief Society.  I'm getting nervous, it's been a while since I taught in there, let alone was even in Relief Society.  I've been in YW's for a while now.  My lesson is on Sister Tanner's Talk, My Soul Delighteth...   So my question to you is what do you delight in?

I'll mention one and it's mentioned in Sister Tanner's talk.  The natural instinct in girl to nurture.  Does that make since.  It's like an instinct in women.  For example I was sick this week, and while I was sitting on the couch going through one of my freezing cold moments, Taylor took care of me, checked my forehead for a fever, brought me water and helped me stay warm.  It was so sweet.

So tell me what you delight in....

Batman

Mark and I went out last night, which was nice.  We went and saw Batman the Dark Knight.  Not really my choice.  We went to the IMAX theater but the sad thing is I was running late and so we ended up not having great seats, we where about 4 rows from the front.  I really didn't like all the violence, but I will give it to Keith Ledger he is an amazing actor, even though his character is crazy.

Michael's Vacation to Utah.

Michael has had the oppurtunity to go to Utah, when he is done he would of been there for about 3 weeks. He is having a blast.  The girls are suffering from him being gone, Savannah and Taylor both come to my bed each night.  Savannah is sleep walking.  So hope fully that will stop when he comes home.  They also keep asking, "So  what are we doing today mom?"  It's funny.   This is an email I got from my sister-in-law Sarah, they took Michael for me, so gracious of them.

I didn't take pictures at the Bountiful Rec. center or when they ran through the water at the Gateway--or of the boys playing with friends and video games, or the movie watching, and the reading. But, here are a few photos of other stuff. We have all had so much fun! Thanks for sending him out!!!
The boys have mostly gotten along super well. It was kind of funny when Michael did better at the science game than David did. (He knew what a proctologist was amongst other things.) He beat David at Stratego, too. And then later at Lagoon, David won a prize from a booth in a pitching game and Michael didn't--even though he was super close. Michael was a super sport about it, unlike Nathan who stormed off... several times at Lagoon.
And he is such a great eater. Always loved whatever I made and ordered what the adults did when we ate out somewhere. I'm so jealous! He also informed David and Nathan that armpit hair and beards would grown in. They checked out what they had. It was super hilarious!
I'm sure I'll see him again--and give him the rest of his stuff. I know other people have more photos of Timpanogus Cave and other stuff. I know David's best friend and Michael are good friends now. (They were both team MVP's this year.) They played in the water in his back yard with David for a couple of afternoons. And Michael didn't like 3 of the other kids that came over--that I don't really like either. Good, kid! He never met a couple of other kids we all like--but there is always another Summer! (Hint, hint!)We have had so much fun! I know I still have a lot of Michael's things to get back to him before he flies home. Like his Church clothes and the DVD player. I'll get those to the Breese's in the next couple of days. (Is that where he is?)

Ok, so I'm hooked...

On the Twilight series. I have been rereading some of the books, to be honest I kind of skipped number too, it's not my favorite. Than Breaking Dawn showed up and we'll I couldn't put it down I had to find out what happened. But my goodness can stephanie Meyer's come up with anything else? It's kind of a weird book I've decided. But like my sister said, it's Fantasy. Oh yea I forgot. :-) But all in all I liked it, I mean I must of it took me 1 1/2 days to read it, so obviously I liked it. So now I'm back to reading book 3 Eclipse, it's probably my favorite. So I've been zoned out for a while.

Now I'm cleaning out my closets I'm determined to clean house. WE have tooooooo Much stuff. It's a joke. So I went through my closet and came out with 2 bags full of clothes and shoes. Yea for me, now I'm onto my drawers. But I'm taking a break. And refocusing. Do be honest I'm a little bummed I went to my Friend big new house and it's so nice, and spacious. Yes I"m being that evil neighbor who is coveting what they have. I know bad bad me. But she cleaned out and got rid of a lot of stuff she said. And I thought that would help our house out a lot. I may not get into a new or even a newer home we seem to focus on houses ranging from 40 years to 100 years old. Someday I dream.....

Savannah Looses her first tooth

Savannah had her first loose tooth, she was very excited and couldn't wait for it to come out.  She had a little help from her dad who pulled it out for her.  She was so excited and the tooth fairy left her a nice dollar bill.  She now has another loose tooth and can't wait for it to come out too, but she is not too thrilled to have her dad pull it out this time.  She said, "it cracked" when he pulled it out.  :-)  It just makes me realize that he is getting so big.  All my kids are. :-(
