The San Diego Zoo

I forgot to mention that we went to the zoo last week. WE had fun, we only spent a few hours there, maybe two. But we got zoo passes, so the kids are telling me everyday what they want to see next time. I think it will be the reptiles.

We saw this peacock just as we where leaving. It reminded me of going to a house by grandparents used to work at. They had peacocks on the property, they are such beautiful birds.

Drew's way

Drew is fingering out how to get his way, since he doesn't talk he will grab me or try to pull me to get me to where he wants me to go. So the other day the only thing he could grab was my nose. So he pinched it and tried to pull me. Normally it's always to the kitchen. He's funny, he is starting to let us know what he doesn't like.

We are working on getting him to say please, instead of uh, uh. So I'll say, "say please," He persist to bounce up and down. He also does this for yes. it very funny. I need to video it.

Homemade doctor's office.

Yesterday was a pretty good day, I woke up had some waffles, didn't feel so good after the waffles. Than I headed off to the gym. Started not feeling any better, even a little worse. But I was looking forward to getting a facial that afternoon. It was wonderful. Until I sat up I was shaky, and felt very weak. I almost fell asleep on the way home. I tried to take a 10 minute power nap. But still was feeling really week. You know when you try to pick up something small it feels like a 100 lbs. I mentioned this to Mark, and he said, "So do I need to bring home an iv for you?" I though the was kidding. AS you can see he wasn't. I have to say he is very good with putting in the IV. It didn't really hurt. The last person to give me one, caused me to bleed everywhere. Blood on the floor sheets. It was a mess. My husband and kids had a lot of fun with the rubber tourniquet thing.

May 21, 2008
Well it's coming along. I've been battling nasty caterpillars. Or I should say army worms. I'm pretty sure that's what is attacking most of everything, corn, especially was being attacked. I bought two kind of organic stuff. I'm sorry but I don't believe in it. So I used my snail bait plus stuff and I haven't seen too much activity, just before I applied it I saw some loopers on my beans, but they are gone now. So although my plants are all dotted with little holes they seem to be surviving. In fact they look better each day! My tomatoes are finally growing as well, and I'm pleased to say we only lost carrots, cantaloupe, and one tomato plant. Still thriving is corn, beans, zucchini, tomatoes (6 plants), pepper, watermelon, and cilantro (all new additions), and pumpkin. Oh I forgot sunflowers are trying to survive and nasturtiums.

The Highlight of my Month!!!!

So I didn't mention much about my brother's visit, let me do so now. I have two Brothers, both totally awesome! So it was so exciting to have my older much wiser, than me, and his family visiting. Ryan (my brother) his wife Sarah, and sons David and Nathan came a week ago yesterday. It was really fun, first they went to legoland I took Michael up after testing, and dropped him off. I'm not even out of the parking lot when Ryan calls, "hey you going to drop of Michael?" Ha, ha! I saw him take him threw the turn style, but it did make my heart skip a beat.
Friday was fun, but I wish it was nicer weather. We tried to hit the tide pools, but the tide was hi, it was cold and overcast, so not that great of a day. But we went to Cabrillo National Monument and went into the visitor's center, and the kids had fun trying on the armour of the Spanish sailors wore. It was pretty heavy stuff. That night we went and ate at Lefty's the great Chicago place.

Saturday we had Michael's 8 am game YUCK! too early. Thankfully Sarah stayed with my girls and Drew. Ryan, Mark, Michael, Davey and I went to the came. I couldn't believe it I was sitting for the whole game. I was so soar when I got up, I normally am chasing Drew all around.

After the game we went to In and Out burger for some total California food. Than off to ironman, it was pretty good, too much for my girls though. And than Ryan and Mark headed off to see the LA galaxy play and Sarah and I stayed home and watched two of my kids having melt downs. But we did get them to bed early and watched a movie and ate our secret stash of ice cream. We watched No Reservations, it was sadder than I expected. But cute.

Sunday came and as you know I had to speak double yuck, but my wiser older brother thankfully edited my talk for me. So it flowed really well. We had hamburgers, watermelon and hot dogs, and super yummy cherry jello so good, it includes cool whip and evaporated milk so really low cal. NOT!

The kids had a blast tackling Ryan Sunday, they where all laughing so hard.

Than they had to leave me on Monday, it was a lot of fun, it was a little crazy with 10 people living in the house but it was more fun. I miss them!

p.s. sorry Ryan we need Sarah to send me pictures I didn't take a lot.

Family Pictures

Aren't these cute, these pictures are taken by my Friend Harmony. We did this back in April or March. She recently moved to Hawaii. But aren't these cool, these are just of few.

I want to scream

AS you noticed I changed my blog, well I was trying to find a cute background and tried it not realizing when it asked me to delete widgets it meant everything on my sidebar. I'm so frutrated, my 100 things about me, my book list, my pictures, music....And some slideshows too. I'm so frutrated, I could scream. So now I need to fix it, and it looks really boaring, so so annoying!!!!!!

This also means I've lost all my friends blog address, so please please send me you blog addresses. I'm so frustrated.

Funny Question

So today the Electrician came.  We had some issues around the house.  He was here about 4 hours.  But first I just had 2 kids home, than Michael came home and his friend came over, so a little while later he said, "so do you run a daycare or are all of these yours?"  It was funny.  I didn't even have Savannah home.  I told him, they where all mine, except for the neighbor boy.  It was pretty funny.  I mean I get asked a lot if these are all mine all the time.  4 really isn't all that many, but I guess most people aren't used to it.  Even people who have 3 think 4 is so much more.  Too funny.

Good Bye Blake

So my brother left for the MTC today, it hit me today and I got chocked up a couple of times thinking about it.  I don't know why, well I guess I do.  I don't see him very often and I don't even talk to him that often, but I do a few times a month and I no longer can text him when I want to.  I'll miss him.  I also was sad that I couldn't be with the family at the MTC this is the first one I missed out of 3.  but I did get to spend some time with him here before he left.  He'll do great, my prayers are with him.

Aaah Mother's Day

You know I'm not one who usually doens't like Mother's day.  My husband is always trying, he makes me breakfast gets me nice gifts.  But today I had to speak at church.  Yea nice Mohter's day present!

I think it went well, so people tell me.  But I took too long.  I bet I went atleast 20 minutes maybe a little more.  I had to speak on what my Mother taught me, not so bad.  I had too many good quotes so I couldn't cut it short, oh well.  It's all done.
But when I got home I got all upset I thought Mark said it was too long and had too many quotes, but I had mentioned I had more quotes and he said that more would be to many.  I don't know I live to impress him.  Anyway I end up bawling on the  phone with my mom.  But she is always so good.

So I hope  you all had a good Mother's day!
It's been a busy week, my brother and his family came into town Thursday and we have had  alot of fun together.  We went to Cabrillo on Friday but of course it was high tide, but they still had fun.  And Saturday we went to Michael's game and than to Inn and Out burger, and off to IronMan, I think it may of been too much for my girls, but I liked it, what I got to see I was chancing Drew everywhere.

Today was Sunday and like I said I got to speak.

Cinco De Mayo Dances

Here's Michael's and Savannah's dances. Enjoy Beware these are a few minutes long I know this isn't the best video quility but it's the easiest way to share video's for me. (p.s. this does not reflect my slide show skills just incase you are wondering.)

I kind of messed up for a few seconds, I was recording someone else who I thought was Michael until I looked up and realized I was recording his neighbor.

Some Highlights

This week has been very busy. First I was gone last weekend for my brother's farewell. It was great to be there and not miss out on great comments like, "the weirdest true church ever!" It was such a special moment for me and my family to see the transformation Blake has gone through. From being almost anti, to declaring his testimony of the Book of Mormon and Joesph Smith and Jesus Christ. He will be 23 in June, he coud of easily decided to not go on a mission but he made this decision all on his own and it's been a hard processes for him but he stuck it out and now he is going.

I got home lat Monday night, and thankfully Mark's mom was hear she fed the kids breakfast and I tried to jump start myself back into reality of four kids. I took her to the airport and I was left all along to fend for myself. I didn't have a good day, I had a rotten attitude that night at YW's. I really was feeling very overwhelmed, I was tempted to walk into the bishops office and asked to be released I had to bring all four kids with me. It was just too much for me that night.

Wednesday was baseball Thankfully Mark showed up in the middle of the game Drew had another fever (it didn't last so that was good). I took Drew and the girls all home.

Thursday was a very busy day, that morning I went to the kids for a program now some of you have patriotic programs we have Cinco de Mayo programs. It was actually very cute. The kids each did a dance and not all classes do them but this year both my kids classes did so it was fun to see. They did a really good job. Michael was very good I was surprised he was really into it.

Later that evening it was off to the controversial dance show. I had to be there at 6pm. I so thankful Mark showed up just before we where getting ready to leave. So he came later with the boys. It was an interesting program, It's a long detailed story of drama and having it at the church and paying for admission...I'll stop there. Anyway the girls did great. Savannah started to cry though she didn't want to go on she was pretty nervous. The lady later told me that she bribed them with candy to get them to go on, you would of never known they where scared they did awesome. They had to do it the next night as well. Once again a good job without the bribe. AFter we all went to eat at Lefty's. Mmm Good stuff. Taylor missed out though she fell asleep in the car so her and Drew slept while we ate.

Saturday was busy but fun. We went to Michael's game in the morning with they won. YEA! Michael did great, he had a great defensive play as shortstop getting the hit and throwing it to first for an out. He also got to pitch again, and he struck 3 people out, on the last inning to win the game! He is the best picture on the team. Most the kids don't' get strikes that often. Later we went and did some shopping as a family I got a cute new litte yellow purse i like it. And we Saw some people from church they have two kids 8 and 7 so they asked if our kids could come over to play, no way was I going to say No. They went and had a blast. The girls came home with makeup the daughter is 8 years old. Michael also had a lot of fun. Meanwhile Mark and I went and got Chinese came home and watched Grey's anatomy, with Drew.

Speaking of Drew he is such a cutie. People got a kick out of him dancing at the dance program, one man commented on his rhythm. Also this week Drew came running into me with a Magic Tree house book, yelling "ma, ma, ma!" you have to understand is this rough yell to get my attention. He says it to anyone if he wants there attention. So I follow him into his room he checks on me as we are walking by stopping and looking at me a couple of times to make sure I'm following him. He walks to the rocking chair and pats it he want me to read to him, so I read a shortened version of this magic treehouse book. It was so cute. He is very smart, he is not a verbal communicator. But he did nod his head to me the other day when I asked him if he was done eating. I was very proud. I always get a head shake for no alot. Oh normally I get a bounce for yet, he bounces his whole body for yes.

Mark is still really busy most of the time, leaving me as a single mom most of the days. He gets home late. He's tired alot too. But my attitude it much better now than Tuesday so that's good because I teach tomorrow. Well it's late I should get to bed. It's Sunday tomorrow and as much as I wish for a day of rest it's a very crazy hectic morning.
Until Next time...
Good Night.
